Effective safety leadership in the workplace has many positive outcomes. When emphasizing the importance of safety in your company you should lead by example and make it each employee’s responsibility to be familiar with common hazards and root causes of accidents and incidents. You should also arm your employees with various tools to help them create, follow and more importantly implement high standards of health and safety. Dr. Hanna El-Jor is a partner with Meirc Training & Consulting. He holds a bachelor of science from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a doctorate from LaSalle University, both in the USA. Hanna has also earned a post graduate diploma in public relations and event management from the Fitzwilliam Institute in London and completed post graduate studies in safety promotion and risk management with the University of Karolinska in Sweden. In addition, he is an associate certified coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
